The epic ONE Friday Fights 46: Tawanchai vs. Superbon card on December 22 has been bolstered with the addition of two more exciting Muay Thai contests.
Topped by a trio of World Title bouts, the landmark event at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok will now also feature Nabil Anane vs. “Elbow Zombie” Muangthai PK Saenchai and Suablack Tor Pran49 vs. Craig Coakley.
Teen phenom Anane entered ONE as a two-division WBC Muay Thai World Champion, and although he lost his first bout to reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9, he bounced back with a knockout of Nakrob Fairtex in September.
On December 22, the towering 19-year-old will meet seasoned veteran Muangthai in a 136-pound catchweight battle that offers up an intriguing clash of styles.
“Elbow Zombie’s” moniker says it all. The aggressive PK Saenchai representative likes to charge forward and unleash his concussive elbows, which always makes for an exciting spectacle.
With a 7-2 record in ONE and four wins in his last five outings, Muangthai is in good form, but Anane is on the rise and knows he can make a big statement against the longtime star.
Suablack has been a revelation in the ONE Friday Fights event series, posting a perfect 3-0 slate with three knockout wins.
The 27-year-old’s impressive power has overwhelmed his opponents, and he’ll look to keep that streak alive as he hunts for a six-figure ONE Championship contract.
However, Coakley – a Road to ONE tournament winner – is a tough and seasoned competitor who will be eager to deliver a strong performance in his promotional debut.
The Irishman proved he was ready for the step up with a victory over Nathan Bendon in the tournament final, and his slick footwork and counter-striking could be the antidote to Suablack’s punishing offense.
These two matches add to the incredible lineup already booked for ONE Friday Fights 46.
The main event will see former ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn challenge fellow Thai megastar Tawanchai PK Saenchai for the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title.
In the co-main events, Joseph Lasiri and Prajanchai PK Saenchai will rematch to unify the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title, while Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom will face Anissa Meksen for the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Title.
