27 javelin throwers will be divided among Groups A and B, and will be playing the qualifiers with an eye for the 12-man final, that is scheduled for Sunday.

The automatic qualifying mark to reach the final is 83.00m and Neeraj Chopra will be the 18th man in the list in Group A. 

The 2024 Paris Olympics qualifying mark is 85.50m. The qualifying window began on July 1. Tokyo Olympics champion Chopra has a personal best 89.94, which he had achieved at the Stockholm Diamond League on June 30, 2022.
