Veteran Aussie opener David Warner is playing his last Test series and he will retire from the traditional format of the game after the third and final match in Sydney. The 37-year-old will be in the limelight after what he did in the first match. Warner's 164-run knock in the first inning proved decisive in Perth.

Pakistan lost the first match by a big margin and they would try to fix their issues before the second Test. However, injuries continued to plague the visitors. Noman Ali, the lone specialist spinner in the touring squad, is the new name on the list who will not feature in the rest of the Test series due to illness and injury.

Khurram Shahzad, who took match figures of 5-128 in his impressive test debut in Perth, was ruled out for the remainder of the series with a rib stress fracture and muscle tear on Thursday.

Australia, meanwhile, have released fast bowler Lance Morris from their squad before the 2nd Test. He will instead feature in the Big Bash League. The Australian team will head into the Boxing Day Test with 13 members. No replacement for Morris has been announced so far.
