Another electrifying Muay Thai bout has been added to ONE’s final event of 2023, as talented Thai scrappers Petsukumvit Boi Bangna and Black Panther are set to throw down in a flyweight clash at ONE Friday Fights 46: Tawanchai vs. Superbon.
That battle will air live in Asia primetime on December 22 from the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, and it promises to deliver fast-paced action for as long as it lasts.
Former Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Petsukumvit kicked off his ONE tenure with three consecutive victories, announcing himself as a key player in the flyweight Muay Thai division.
But in his most recent appearance, the 25-year-old suffered his first promotional defeat at the hands of young phenom Jaosuayai Sor Dechapan.
Petsukumvit will now look to regain his winning momentum against a surging opponent.
After Black Panther fell to Russian sensation Tagir Khalilov in his ONE debut at ONE Friday Fights 9, he has reeled off a pair of victories against top talents and appears to be in the best form of his 95-fight professional career.
For the 30-year-old, a win over an established star like Petsukumvit would move him a massive step closer to a coveted six-figure contract and prove he’s one of the planet’s top strikers.
Through each of their ONE Friday Fights appearances, both men have shown a propensity to stand and trade heavy leather and slashing elbows, quickly developing into fan favorites in Bangkok.
Given their entertaining styles of combat, this flyweight Muay Thai showdown has all the makings of a war.
Stay tuned for more news and announcements about the stacked ONE Friday Fights 46, which features Tawanchai vs. Superbon, Joseph Lasiri vs. Prajanchai, and Anissa Meksen vs. Phetjeeja in World Title bouts.
