Indian team's wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant added a second date of birth to his social media profiles.

Pant, who was born on October 4, 1997, added January 5, 2023, as his second date of birth, which is just a week after his fatal car accident on December 30, 2022.

Initially, the addition led to widespread speculation among social media users, but it was quickly clear that it was a reference to him finding a new lease on life post-accident.

Pant has been providing updates about his recovery on social media. There was one recently wherein he posted a video of him ditching his crutches and walking without any support.

Currently, Pant is at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) rehabilitating, with sources claiming that his road to recovery has been positive.

A couple of days ago, the India batter posted a picture of him at the NCA alongside KL Rahul, who is also recovering after surgery, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Pant's return to active competition is clouded in mystery. It is a certainty that he will not be a part of the Indian squad for the upcoming ICC Men's ODI World Cup, which starts on October 5.
