Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan Achieve Career-Best ODI Rankings

Gill broke into the top three among batters, while Kishan leapfrogged 12 places to reach the 24th spot.

Following their splendid knocks in the ongoing Asia Cup, talented young India turks Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan have attained their career-best ratings in the latest ICC ODI rankings that were released on Wednesday.

Gill broke into the top three among batters, climbing to the third spot with 750 rating points, courtesy of his undefeated 67 against Nepal on Monday. He trails second-ranked Rassie van der Dussen of South Africa by 27 points.

Meanwhile, Kishan leapfrogged 12 places to reach the 24th spot with 624 rating points, after his scintillating 82-run innings in India’s Asia Cup opener in Pallekele against arch-rivals Pakistan.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam continues to top the charts with 882 rating points in the wake of his brilliant knock of 151 against Nepal in Multan.

Speedster Mohammed Siraj is the highest-ranked Indian among the bowlers. Siraj is in eighth place with 652 rating points, followed by left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the 12th spot with 614 points and comeback man Jasprit Bumrah in 35th place.

Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood leads the bowling list with 705 rating points.

In the all-rounders' chart, Hardik Pandya is the only Indian within the top 20, ranked tenth with 220 rating points, while Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan heads the list with 372 points.
