At the end of Day 2 of their Test match, meanwhile, India A led by 493 runs, thanks, in large quantities, to Sarfaraz's exceptional innings.
On the other side of the world, Sarfaraz's younger brother, Musheer, scored 118 for the India U-19 team in their group match against Ireland during the ICC U-19 Men's Cricket World Cup.
