The series opener was called off after four overs in the second innings. Chasing Sri Lanka's 273/9, Zimbabwe were 12/2. The highlight of the 'no result' was Charith Asalanka's brilliant century, 101 runs off 95 balls laced with five fours and four sixes.

After the ODIs, which concludes on Thursday, the two teams will play a three-match T20 International series. It will be part of Sri Lanka's preparation for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup. Zimbabwe failed to qualify for the marquee event in the United States and the Caribbean.
