Rohit Sharma hit five sixes and 17 fours during his epic 159-run knock in the second ODI match against the West Indies at Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. And the best of the lot was the six off the last ball of the 36th over, bowled by Jason Holder.
As Rohit makes room, Holder delivers it well wide forcing the Indian vice-captain to reach for the ball. As Rohit tried to reach the ball, he lost balance and took a fall. But not before making sure, the ball goes out of the ground. With one knee on the ground, he made slightest of touches and the ball flew over extra cover.
Watch it here:
Rohit and Lokesh Rahul cracked 159 and 138 runs off 102 and 104 balls respectively to help India post a mammoth total of 287/5. Then, the bowlers dismissed the Windies for 280 for a 107-run win.
The win helped India keep the three-match ODI series alive. The series finale is scheduled for Sunday at Cuttack.
