Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) overwhelmed a clueless Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 82 runs in the 28th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 on Monday in Sharjah. And the hero of the match was AB de Villiers, who seemed to play on a different surface to score an unbeaten 73 off 33 balls even as every other player in the contest, including Virat Kohli, struggled. The win helped RCB register their fifth win in seven outings, their best start to an IPL season since 2013. After posting 194/2, RCB bowlers turned up the heat on KKR by strangulating their batsmen. Three batsmen reached double figures with Shubman Gill top-scoring with 34 off 25 balls. Yuzvendra Chahal was the most economical (1/13), while Chris Morris (2/17) and Washington Sundar (2/20) took a brace each. This was KKR's third defeat in seven matches. Next, RCB face Kings XI Punjab at the same venue on Thursday while KKR take on defending champions Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi on Friday. Catch highlights and scorecard of RCB vs KKR match here.
