After a poor start, Ajinkya Rahane managed to save some grace for India on Day 1 of the first Test against West Indies in the ongoing two-match series. India managed to reach 203 for 6 on a rain-hit day of the World Test Championship fixture, with only 68.5 overs being played.
With the likes of Virat Kohli, Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara getting scalped quickly, Rahane played on of his best international knocks, 81 off 163 balls. It was packed with 10 boundaries, a good note in an otherwise poor display by Indian batsmen against the likes of Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel.
