Now that she’s more acquainted with the sport of kickboxing, Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak believes she can make a run toward the top of the atomweight division.

The 19-year-old Thai phenom will face three-time Kickboxing World Champion Cristina Morales at ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade on Prime Video, and she knows another impressive performance would showcase her successful transition from a background in Muay Thai.

“Supergirl” has competed in back-to-back fights under the kickboxing rule set – losing a close decision to Stamp Fairtex and defeating Lara Fernandez – and she believes that recent experience will shine through when she returns in U.S. primetime on November 3.

The Jaroonsak Muaythai representative spoke to onefc.com ahead of her battle in Bangkok:

“From my past two fights, I’ve tried to research the kickboxing rules, and especially how to use my knee or other weapons to get points. From the last fight, I now know how to throw my knee not to break the rules. I have more knowledge so I can adjust better in this fight.

“Also, I got a lot of confidence after my fight with Stamp. Like, ‘Hey, I just had a really close fight with a World Champion!’ My future opponents shouldn’t be at a higher level.”

After being raised in Muay Thai and taught by her father, “Supergirl” will always love the sport, but she feels like kickboxing is a good fit for her style, too.

Following her victory over ISKA Kickboxing World Champion Fernandez last time out, the popular Thai striker thinks she will be ready to challenge ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Janet Todd if she is victorious against Morales.

“Supergirl” offered:

“I feel like my fans like to watch me in kickboxing because I can fire more punches without being so concerned about the counter-attack on the chin like in Muay Thai with small gloves. I can fight with a fast pace in kickboxing style, and fans like that style, too.

“If I can win this fight, I want to take a shot at gold. I’m very determined. This fight, I need to put on a show and prove that I have the potential to fight in a World Title match.”

Supergirl Thinks She Has Ability To ‘Dominate’ Morales

Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak is aiming high and expecting big things – even against a decorated kickboxer in Cristina Morales.

The Spanish striker has competed against some of the biggest names in the sport, but “Supergirl” isn’t expecting to face anything too intimidating at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

Instead, the teen phenom is eager to get her hands on Morales and show what she is capable of:

“My fight with Cristina Morales was postponed twice, but I’m not upset at all. I just really want to fight her soon. She fought with Anissa Meksen, who is one of my idols, so fighting her will be a good test of my skills.

“From what I’ve studied, I think she’s more like a boxer. Most of the time she focuses on punching. Her strength is also her weakness because she only depends on her hands. She rarely kicks or uses other tricks. If I can use my other weapons mixed with punches, I will surely dominate her.”

“Supergirl” has spent a lot of time training for the Team Jesus Cabello representative, and she will now get the payoff for that preparation.

Above all, the Bangkok native is hoping to produce a memorable encounter that will leave a lasting impression on fans watching around the world.

With that in mind, she sent a final message to Morales:

“Finally, our paths collide. This time we will fight to our fullest. I hope each of us will come to the ring at 100 percent. See you in the ring!”
