The 2023 edition of the Tennis Premier League returns as it begins from December 17 and will conclude on December 17 at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune. (December 11 Blog | Tennis News)
Twenty matches will be held in the tournament followed by the semi-finals and final on December 17. The Bengal Wizards, Hyderabad Strikers, Pune Jaguars, Delhi Binny’s Brigade, Punjab Tigers, Bengaluru SG Mavericks, Mumbai Leon Army, and Gujarat Panthers are the eight teams that will be part of the Tennis Premier League 2023 event.
As per the tournament's schedule, each team will take part in five league matches to qualify for the semi-finals. Moreover, celebrities such as Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Tapsee Pannu, Rakul Preet Singh, Leander Paes, Saina Mirza among others will be at the event to support their teams.
As for the Indian contingent, Sumit Nagal will be the biggest star attraction alongside Karman Kaur Thandi and Mukund Sasikumar.
International stars include Ernests Gulbis, who once achieved a career-high singles ranking of No 10 in 2014. Lukas Rosol, who was No. 26 back in 2014, will be part of Pune Jaguars side. Rutuja Bhosle, Asian Games 2023 mixed doubles gold medalist alongside Rohan Bopanna, will also be part of the event.
