Team India's star batter Virat Kohli is loved the world over. He is one of the most reverred sportspersons and has a great following on social media platforms. Despite the popularity of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Virat Kohli star status has seen him achieve great things in cricket.

Virat who hardly played in the white-ball cricket against West Indies, has taken a time-off the field and will soon be seen taking the field in the ODI colours during the Asia Cup 2023.

Apart from his stardom, Kohli is known to be a sweetheart amongst his fans for his generous and down to earth nature, and one such example was to be seen recently.

A video on X, formerly Twitter, went viral when a fan asked for a selfie with Virat Kohli and the star batter kindly obliged. He asked him to come out of the crowd and clicked a picture with him.

Talking about India's clash with Pakistan, Virat Kohli put forward his thoughts on the same. He said that he performed well against Pakistan.

"I wouldn't run away from the fact that the atmosphere on the outside is very, very different from other games. It's what created on the outside that you can't really ignore. As a player when you step on to the field it's any other game for you. The environment on the outside can pull you in. That's for you to enjoy and get excited about. Then it's usual business," Virat Kohli said on Star Sports.

Team India will be seen in T20I action in the 3-match T20I series against Ireland starting today, August 18. Moreover, fans will be waiting patiently for the return of star pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, who would be leading the team in place of rested Hardik Pandya.

Following the series, Team India will seen in Asia Cup action, starting from August 30. The Rohit Sharma-led team will open their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2.
