Samantha Ruth Prabhu, born on 28 April 1987, widely known as Samantha, is a highly acclaimed Indian actress in Telugu and Tamil cinema, earning four Filmfare Awards South. Transitioning from a brief modeling stint during her commerce degree pursuit, she marked her acting debut in the Telugu romance 'Ye Maaya Chesave,' winning the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. Notably, she became the second actress to clinch both the Filmfare Awards for Best Actress in Tamil and Telugu in the same year for 'Neethaane En Ponvasantham' and 'Eega' in 2012.
