Kentucky Derby

The Kentucky Derby is a horse race held at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. Inaugurated in 1875, this Grade I stakes race is regarded as the oldest continuously held major sporting event in the USA. It's also known as the "Run for the Roses" as the winning thoroughbred is draped in a blanket of roses.
