Sevilla, the Mediterranean and European restaurant, at The Claridges in Delhi, has introduced organic wines from the Loire Valley, France, which “have a cleaner, fresher and better taste”, says the hotel’s resident sommelier Judith Scarione. “Not only are these better for health as there are no additional chemicals, the process is also better for the soil.” There’s the La Mariole from Languedoc, providing a complex and elegant flavour. Numéro 6 by the centuries-old wine-producing family of Romain Paire and Je t’aime mais j’ai soif which means ‘I love you but I’m thirsty’ from the Muscadet region are known for their thirst-quenching qualities. And, finally, there’s the fruity Haute Côt(e) de Fruit, made from the Malbec grape.
