Following the scorching summer, India starts getting greener when monsoon arrives in July. It is also the time when all our umbrellas and raincoats come out of the closet. But July and umbrellas have a different meaning in Portugal. As a part of the annual arts festival called the Agitagueda, this initiative by the production company Sextafeira Producoes sees thousands of colourful umbrellas lined up over the streets of Agueda. A spectacular sight that tis art installation makes for, the medieval town of Agueda has now been hosting visitors especially for this festival celebrating various art installations over the last couple of years. In fact, quite a few other European cities are emulating the spectacle. Do check it out if you are in the country.
