Kolkata will have its first ever all-night long public World Cup screening when Latin American giants clash in Brazil

It’s time the Kolkatans get a taste of what cities like Berlin, Sydney and New York brag about during the World Cup season –all night screenings. Yes, for the first time in Kolkata, FIIOB (a 73000-strong members Facebook group – Football Is In Our Blood) is screening matches from dusk to dawn. 

 

After all special permissions taken and signed, the screenings will take place at the Yogesh Mime Academy auditorium that has been booked for the whole night. The matches to be screened are Brazil vs Chile (9:30 pm onwards) and Colombia vs Uruguay (1:30 am onwards). Permissions have also been taken for the fans to spend a couple of more hours after the match ends at around 3:30am and then find a transport to return home in the morning.


The entry fees, inclusive of dinner, are:

 

FIIOB Premium Members: Rs 250

General – Rs 300

College Students – Rs 250

School Students – Rs 200

 

When: Saturday, June 28

Timings: 9 PM to 4 AM
