Ziro, about 170km from state capital Itanagar, plays host to an open-air music festival that is celebrated over four days. The festival, in its fourth year in 2016, will be held from September 22-25. Some of the headliners who have confirmed their participation are Shye Ben Tzur and the Rajasthan Express (an Israel-India collaboration), Natasha Humera Ejaz (Pakistan), Soulmate (Meghalaya), AkummikA (Nagaland), IJA (Kumaon/New Delhi), Skrat (Chennai) Smooth Relax (New Delhi), Abiogenesis (Nagaland), Elephant in The Elevator (Assam) and GramLines (Italy). Note: All visitors – Indian and foreigners – to Arunachal Pradesh need special permits to enter the state. Indians need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) and foreigners require a Protected Area Permit.
