Domestic and international airlines announce new routes

AirAsia India started its first flight between Bengaluru and Pune on December 17. The airline has also added an additional flight to its Bengaluru-Jaipur-Bengaluru sector. See airasia.com

Qatar Airways has announced its second daily flight from Doha to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which will commence on March 29, 2015. Passengers from West Asia, the Asia Pacific, the Americas and Africa can fly to Istanbul via Doha. See qatarairways.com

Etihad Airways has launched daily, nonstop flights between Abu Dhabi and San Francisco. The route will use a Jet Airways’ Boeing 777-300ER aircraft; cabin crew will be a mix of Jet and Etihad employees. See etihad.com

Vietjet has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Air Costa to explore aviation opportunities between Vietnam and India. See vietjetair.com
