Christmas in Kolkata is not merely a religious festival. It is a summation of faith, food and fun for everyone. And now the Kolkata Christmas Festival has upped the enjoyment quotient even more. A large section in the heart of the city will be illuminated (the illumination will remain until New Year). Most of the programmes will be held at the famous Park Street (renamed as Mother Teresa Sarani), from December 18, 2015-January 2, 2016. There will be a two-hour long Christmas Parade on December 20 (expected to begin at 10am). Besides, there will be food stalls set up by members of different communities residing in the city and live music performances. Park Street will be closed to traffic on December 25 so that revellers can take to the streets. You can take the underground metro train and alight at Park Street station.
