Domestic airlines aren't the only ones struggling to stay in the Indian airspace

While Kingfisher recently said it was curtailing planes of global conquest and British Airways backed out of its code-sharing agreement, international carriers were already moulting earlier this year. Lufthansa just pulled its Kolkata-Frankfurt flights out of holding pattern; sister Austrian ditched Mumbai-Vienna likewise. Air Asia led this exodus in 2012, deciding to land no longer in Hyderabad. American followed, dropping its Chicago-Delhi code. Air France says its fewer sightings in India should be blamed on the seasons, while Qantas pleaded economic burdens down under for the nosedive of its Australia to Mumbai service
