A fare war has begun with the entry of AirAsia India in the Indian skies, as the airline is offering all-inclusive tickets on Bangalore-Kochi and Bangalore-Chennai routes for Rs 1,490; and the Bangalore-Goa route for Rs 1,690. The offer is valid on tickets booked till June 29, 2014, for the period of travel between July 1 and October 25 for Bangalore-Chennai, and between August 1 and October 25 for Bangalore-Goa and Bangalore-Kochi. AirAsia India CEO Mittu Chandilya said that now the focus was on connecting all tier-II cities of India with fares about 35 per cent lower than the current market rates.
