Goa, which always has something for every traveller round the year, now gets ready to welcome film buffs in November

Since 2004, Goa has become the permanent venue for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The 46th edition of IFFI will be inaugurated on November 20, 2015. The 10-day film festival will present a selection of the best movies in different sections such as Indian Panorama, international section, Indian and foreign retrospectives, tributes and special focus. Notable film artists, directors, producers, distributors, exhibitors, exporters and importers, film financiers, and critics will attend the film screenings and  discuss various aspects of cinema, aesthetic or ideological. Apart from the films a lot of other activities are being planned, including performance by street artists, food stalls, screening of films on beaches, and film bazaar. The inaugural ceremony will take at the at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee indoor stadium near Panaji. The Special Retrospective section will screen eight films of veteran actor-filmmaker Shashi Kapoor; the section will be inaugurated with Kapoor’s masterpiece, Junoon.
