Goa’s made leaps and bounds in terms of tourism—whether as the favourite New Year’s Eve destination or the tourist’s favourite beach-spot. And now Indian ambassadors to three countries—Croatia, Iceland and Israel—wish to promote the place in their respective dominions. This newfound enthusiasm is a result of their recent interaction with the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC). And they were indeed positively impressed. In an ever-expanding world with ever-diminishing barriers between countries, tourism has become all-the-more important. And India, with a party capital as charismatic as Goa, is only set to benefit from this trend.
