December is a fun time to be in Goa. With festivals and feasts galore, perfect weather and the much awaited Christmas and New Year’s parties, Goa is without a doubt India’s favourite December destination. Adding to the fun and frolic is the Serendipity Arts Festival (serendipityartsfestival.com), an eight-day fest that Panjim will be hosting from December 16 to 23. The event will be spread over six venues—The Adil Shah, Jardin Garcia d’Orta municipal garden, the Mandovi Promenade, the Entertainment Society of Goa, the Kala Academy and the Bandodkar Ground. Throughout the eight-day festival of performing, visual and culinary arts, there will be 40 exhibitions, performances and workshops. To make it accessible to many, most of the programmes will be for free; you just need to register.
