The leading platform for modern and contemporary art in south Asia is also a window to the region’s cultural diversity. India Art Fair, which was first launched in 2008, caters to every segment and level of the booming, even if fledgling, art market of the subcontinent. This year’s gathering expands to showcase South Asia’s stellar range in visual arts, alongside cross-disciplinary innovation in the region and the world. Sessions include a discussion on the intersection between art and literature; the relationship between an artist and the gallerist (by Negar Azimi, a senior editor of Bidoun); and how private collections can be leveraged to engage the public. Galleries and spaces across the capital participate. Also look out for culture clubs and pop-up art labs
