Air India is set to start operations from West Bengal’s Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport (RDP) from May 18, 2015. Initially, there will be flights to and from Delhi and Mumbai via Kolkata. AI9713 will leave Kolkata everyday – except Friday – at 17.05 and reach Durgapur at 17.45. AI9714 will leave Durgapur everyday – except Friday – at 18.05 and reach Kolkata at 18.50. The service will reduce travel time between Asansol-Durgapur region and Delhi/Mumbai. ‘Through check -in’ to and from Delhi and Mumbai airports will also be available.
