Kasauli: Rhythm & Blues Music Festival

The Genesis Foundation is back with the fifth edition of the three-day Kasauli Rhythm & Blues Music Festival over the Easter weekend, in support of critically ill and underprivileged children. The Baikunth Resort in the Himachali hill town plays the genial host again. Although it’s plugged as an R&B fest, there’s also funk, jazz, folk rock, fusion and electronic dance music to be enjoyed. This year’s line-up includes Kanchan Daniel and The Beards, the Army Pipers and Army Jazz Band, tabla maestro Ustad Fazal Qureshi and the ‘sultan of strings’ Ravi Iyer sharing the stage, and Bollywood singer Shilpa Rao.
