The Kochi-Muziris Biennale is back. This year’s Biennale, Whorled Explorations, is conceived as a temporary observation deck hoisted in Kochi, which draws upon the city’s history as a maritime gateway to bring together art that maps our world via history, geography, cosmology, time, space, dreams and myths. Apart from showcasing contemporary art, K-MB will also host a series of seminars, talks, debates and discussions on art. Artists’ Cinema is their 100-day film festival of the most interesting video art from around the world. The Students’ and Children’s Biennale will run at the same time. Keli Ramachandran curates performances on the art forms of Kerala, besides which there is contemporary theatre, movement arts, and music (only donations).
