Mihin Lanka, Sri Lanka’s national low-cost carrier, will fly thrice a week between Kolkata and Colombo from June 17, 2015. On Mondays and Fridays, the flight will reach Kolkata at 10.15am and leave for Colombo at 11.15am. On Wednesdays, it will reach Kolkata at 2.05pm and leave at 3pm. The airline has added an Airbus A319 to its fleet, which will fly on the Kolkata-Colombo sector and augment the airlines’ flight frequency between Colombo and the cities of Madurai, Varanasi and Gaya. Currently the airline operates flights to Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchirapalli on a code-share basis with Sri Lankan Airlines.
