With all of Nagaland’s tribes coming together for it, Hornbill 2016 was a welcome assault on the senses. Dance and music perfomances took centrestage, of course, while the various tribal morungs at the Kisama Heritage Village overflowed with good food and drink. Beyond the performances, there were sleepy villages to explore. The weather was lovely. And it helped that there was a luxurious camp to retire to each evening.
