Broadway, Broadway, Broadway! Grab your tickets now! The iconic theatre complex, known to feature some of the best productions in the English-speaking world, is back with its biannual ‘Broadway Week’. In its seventh year, the event is offering two-for-one tickets to 23 of its acclaimed productions for the period between September 4 and 17. These include classics like The Phantom of the Opera, a surreal tale of obsession and mystery, and newer ones like Anastasia, a magical tale of a Russian grand duchess in search of her family. As many as 12 are first-timers, including Groundhog Day, a comedy-centred on an arrogant TV weatherman stuck in a time loop. Broadway plays are known for their steep ticket prices, with some seats going up to $500. So a discount week is a welcome relief for fans. Broadway Week has been quite successful over the last six years, selling over a million tickets since its inception. This time it will also feature a special ‘Viva Broadway Night’, which aims to promote a partnership with the American Hispanic community. Buy tickets on nycgo.com/broadwayweek before they run out
