Dan Sai (Loei province), in north-eastern Thailand, will celebrate its annual Bun Luang (Boon Prawat) and Phi Ta Khoon festivals from June 26-28, 2015. The Bun Luang festival is a merit-making festival where local people gather at the temple to listen to sermons in honour of the 13 sermons delivered by Prince Vessandron. Apart from the holy rituals, esecially at the Wat Pon Chai Temple, visitors, especially photographers, will enjoy the parade on June 27, where people will sing and dance or siply strike a pose, wearing huge masks made from carved coconut-tree trunks, topped with wicker work ahd sticky-rice steamers and dressed in colourful clothes.
