Jumping Heights, which calls itself India’s first extreme adventure zone and highest bungee jumping platform, has very recently completely 50,000 jumps, and it did so in style. Set up in 2010 in Rishikesh, the past seven years have seen many people visit it for adventure activities such as bungee jumping (the platform here is a mammoth 83-metre tall) and Flying Fox (ziplining). To mark the occasion, a gala event was organised that saw participation of about hundred individuals and the presence of actors Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, known for their roles in the 2016 Bollywood film Dangal. In fact, the 50,000th jump was made by Sanya. This also means that both the very first and the latest jump have been undertaken by women.
The founder and Managing director of Jumping Heights, Rahul Nigam, was present at the event, where he thanked Fatima and Sanya for their participation.
During your next visit to Rishikesh, do stop by Jumping Heights. Their bungee jumping platform is located just above the Ganges, and provides a breathtaking vista of the surroundings. ₹100 is the entry, while bungee jumping costs ₹3,500 per person and ziplining ₹1,700 per person.
