For food fanatics visiting Spain this year, the country has a new annual capital for gastronomy—Toledo. A melting-pot of Christian, Jewish and Islamic cultures, the food here is also varied in style and diverse in flavour. A number of gastronomical events have been lined up to mark the occasion—February and March already saw Puchero and Cazuela, which are ‘local casserole’ festivals. June recently had Tapeando por Toledo (“Out for tapas around Toledo”). November has its set of festivities lined up—the Tapas festival along with cócteles port Toledo (“Out for cocktails around Toledo”).
