Think before you ink

 For many a traveller, the desire for that unique souvenir as a reminder of a trip they took is a key consideration. Given the rising popularity of tattoos around the world, driven perhaps by increasingly global celebrities who are inked, it is no surprise that some travellers are choosing to create a more permanent reminder of the fun times they had. The days of a discreet outline of a plane or a signpost are long gone. The fad is increasingly towards world maps, compasses, stamps, and other immediately recognisable markers of travel. Instagram is of course proving to be the most popular forum for the display of this particular expression of popular culture, and there already are lists of the worst travel tattoos! All we can suggest is, think before you ink!
