Travel awards ceremony in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) recently presented the PATA Grand and Gold awards at a ceremony in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The awards are presented to outstanding achievers in four main categories: Marketing; Education and Training; Environment; and Heritage and Culture. Twenty-nine awards were presented this year. Kuoni, together with SOTC, won two Golds, one for Marketing (Industry), and the other for Marketing Media (Travel Advertisement Broadcast Media); Kerala Tourism won two Golds, one for Corporate Social Responsibility, and the other for Marketing Media (E-Newslet­ter); and the Tourism Authority of Thailand won two Golds, one for Travel Journal­ism (Travel Photograph), and the other for Travel Journalism (Travel Guidebook). Other award winners include Garuda Indonesia, Hong Kong Tourism Board, and Rosewood Hotels & Resort.
