Opening on May 25 is the newest theme park of Universal Orlando, a popular attraction in Florida. Called the Volcano Bay, the water theme park is spread over 30 acres of land. It features a multi-directional wave pool with sandy beaches, a winding river, twisting multi-rider raft rides and body slides that drop from the top of the ‘volcano’ into the waters below. There are 18 rides, allowing visitors to careen down slides, brave white-water torrents, drift down a winding river or relax in their own waterside cabana.
This theme park island is just steps away from Universal Orlando’s other theme parks—Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, five themed on-site resort hotels and the dining, shopping and entertainment of Universal CityWalk.
If you are worried about waiting in line or carrying around rafts, the Park has devised a TapuTapu ‘wearable’ wrist band. When guests arrive to Volcano Bay, they will receive these bands, which allow them to ‘virtually’ wait in line for Volcano Bay’s attractions. Visitors will discover various TapTu Play experiences throughout the park with just a simple tap, say Universal Orlando.
Universal Orlando Resort is also offering customised vacation packages, along with special benefits like Early Park Admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal’s Volcano Bay, one hour before the theme parks open (valid theme park admission required).
A one-day Volcano Bay ticket is priced at $67. You can visit all three Universal Orlando Parks with a 3-Park Ticket. The 3-Park 3-Day Park to Park Ticket entitles one guest admission to Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Theme Park on the same day. The ticket is valid for any three calendar days during a seven consecutive calendar day period which includes the first day any portion of the ticket is used. This ticket also includes seven consecutive calendar days of admission to select live entertainment venues of Universal CityWalk, which includes the first day any portion of the ticket is used.
