Trains haven’t historically been the transport mode of choice in the US. But things are set to change. Those headed to Florida after May 2017 will be able to save time and energy, beat the traffic and travel in superb comfort when they hop on to a Brightline train. A brand new, super-modern rail service connecting Miami with West Palm Beach, with Fort Lauderdale in between, the journey time will be reduced to just an hour. The trains will feature smart, colourful exteriors and spacious, wifi-enabled interiors. They’ll also be pet-friendly and wheelchair-accessible. Stage 2 of the project will see the line being extended to Orlando; see allaboardflorida.com.
