Trip To Antarctica: Cruising Through The Icy Continent

Antarctica, the truly wild and pristine continent, untouched by mankind, leaves a lasting impression. January to March is the best time to visit.

Antarctica is stranger and more beautiful than I imagined. It is a million shades of blue. Jagged, snow-covered mountains glow from a still hidden sun. The sky is cloudless and the air calm, the whole world encased in icecold, harsh and desolate. Antarctica's waterbodies and mountains of ice make it a continent like no other. The sheer immensity of the ice sheet is staggering. Its weight can deform the globe should it melt, with sea levels rising above major cities. It is the driest continent, a polar desert, since 98 per cent is covered by ice and it is the windiest, coldest, most hostile environment.
