The forests of Central India are home to some of our richest flora and fauna. It is, therefore, not surprising that the tribal art of the Baigas, Bhils and Gonds of the region takes nature as its primary inspiration. Add to this pot the fact that Tulika Kedia, propreitor of Kanha’s Singinawa Jungle Lodge, is a gallerist and passionate art collector, and you have a striking museum of indigenous art. The just-opened Kanha Museum of Life & Art features mesmerising tribal art and big-name artists like Bhajju Shyam and Ladoo Bai. Featured here is artwork by Gond artist Narmada Prasad Tekam.
