Kids below 12 aren’t allowed at The Tamara, Coorg, be­cause of the steep gradient of the resort’s terrain, they say, but the only effect that’s had is to keep the property winning ‘most romantic resort’ awards. The Tamara sprawls luxuriously, privately and ecologically over 175 acres of undisturbed rain­forest, only 20 percent of which the resort occupies. This makes for some lovely nature trails, and then they have attractive yoga-cum-spa packages (try their signature ‘blossom to brew’ cof­fee therapy at the Elevation Spa, and walk the lovely rudraksh trail, collecting beads to make your own mala).
