The one and only in Chennai

The only luxury vegetarian boutique hotel in Chennai (the E stands for, er, Elegance, Exclusive and Elite), it calls itself. It’s also located within the hugely popular EA, local parlance for the Express Avenue mall, a fantastically central location. We like, however, because the interiors are smart and funky (white and pink for purity and pure love, they insist), service is enthusiastic, the free wi-fi is actually high speed, the Entrée restaurant serves good food (try the drumstick soup/broth, or consider the mall’s vast food court as a livelier alternative to in-room dining). They are rather popular for their banquets and events but other guests aren’t complaining. And, oh, just take the escalator up to the nice multiplex for a late show.
