Tsemarang Eco Camp: Supporting sustainable tourism

Camping has come a long way from dank sleeping bags and squat toilets. And Ladakh is no stranger to glamping. But the Tsemarang Eco Camp, with a stunning riparian setting, promises to pay its greening dues too. The eight luxury tents (with attached baths) — spread over 300 metres along the Indus — are kitted out with solar-powered mod cons. The camp is set up every May. The Camp also plans to arrange (on request) independent treks to the Nubra, Markha, Sham, Changthang or the Zanskar valleys, apart from kayaking, rafting and off-road safaris.
