Google is what we all turn to when we need information on anything, anywhere. From its keyword-search capability to its maps, translator, and reference images, Google comes handy in more than one way on a journey. Now, the company has launched a single app to help you locate all travel-related info at one place: Google Trips, a smart planner for all your travel. The app, available on both Android and iOS, scans your inbox for any e-tickets and makes a separate entry for every scheduled trip. When I downloaded the app and gave it the requisite access, it detected all my trips, dating back to 13th August 2013 and the upcoming ones, and lined them up in my ‘trips list’. Once you click on any of these, you find a number of interesting sections—reservations (which features your e-tickets), things to do (a list of the destination’s best tourist attractions), suggested day plans and food and drink options. You can also add your own trips to the app. However, it isn’t quite glitch-free yet and seems rather minimalist in terms of features for now. Never rule out a revolutionary update from Google though.
