AppWatch: Ithaka

Ever had a trip planned by a travel company and found out that it’s the same commercial package without any authenticity and customisation to suit your needs? In a bid to get rid of these woes, Ithaka- Your Personal Trip Planner has come up with a chat-based app where their ‘travel wizards’ or destination experts will help you plan a trip, taking note of your budget, the kind of activities you want to indulge in and customising it to every last detail. They will help you discover your destination like a pro, learn about it in more detail and make itinerary choices based on your interests and preferences. None of the packages are ready-made. Even if you haven’t decided the destination yet, you can explore the app and its various features, interact with their adorable travel bot ‘sparrow’; and get the whole planning experience and maybe make up your mind too! Currently the app is available for Thailand and Bali but will soon be expanded to more countries in South East Asia, and then launch in Europe.
