You would think telecom providers in this day and age would have found a way to guarantee connectivity even in the remotest of areas. But, alas, you will still need goTenna for that. This New York-based startup has launched a device that connects to your phone via Bluetooth and then sends long-range radio waves to telecom towers. This extends your network’s range by an additional mile (1.6km) in cities and four miles (6.4km) in remote terrain. Multiple goTenna users can also connect to each other via an offline network. It ships to India via amazon. com. ($149, shipping extra; gotenna.com)
