The Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park joined the list of 788 World Heritage Sites (26 in India). The park includes fortifications, palaces, religious buildings, residential precincts, and water installations, from the 8th to the 14th centuries. The site is the only complete and unchanged Islamic pre-Mughal city.
